Dezeen Showroom: Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet has created Vondom's Love chair, which includes versions made using plastic recycled from the Mediterranean Sea.
The smooth curves of the Love chair are achieved by injection moulding plastic, creating a form that fits the body in an organic way.
The chair is part of Vondom's sustainability initiative Vondom Revolution, which sees the Spanish brand engage with the resources of the Mediterranean.
In the case of the Love chair, two of its colours — Milos and Cala — are made of recycled plastic cleaned up from the Balearic Islands, while the Manta shade features recycled fishing nets.
Vondom says the name of the chair comes because it is "inspired by the concept of love, a feeling that involves body and soul, invisible to the human eye, but a wonderful embellisher of everything that surround us".
A stackable design, the Love chair is suitable for both interior and exterior settings.
