Androgyne Dining Table by Danielle Siggerud for Menu

Androgyne Dining Table by Danielle Siggerud for Menu

Dezeen Showroom: architect Danielle Siggerud has designed a dining table described as "not for the faint of heart" for Danish brand Menu.

Designed by Norwegian architect Siggerud, the rectangular Androgyne Dining Table is the latest addition to Menu's Androgyne Collection.

The table joins Menu's Androgyne Collection

Created as a larger and grander version of the collection's existing dining table, the community-style table is available in two sizes – 210 centimetres and 280 centimetres long – that can comfortably seat eight or 10 people respectively.

The characterful piece was designed to be the centrepiece in either a home, restaurant or office.

The table is designed to suit residential and commercial settings

"The Androgyne Collection has always been about honouring perfectly executed joinery and celebrating natural materials," said Siggerud.

"The use of rich, warm oak makes it easy to pair the dining table with any interior style. I envisage the table in a home space, as a natural gathering point that allows people to come together in different ways.
