Dezeen Showroom: British brand Astro Lighting has created a range of sconces, pendants and ceiling spots informed by neoclassical architecture.
Named Hashira, the geometric range is defined by the 12-sided cylinder that forms the body of each light.
"A contemporary geometric form in a sleek metallic finish, the Hashira family is an evolution of our plaster Shadow design and is inspired by neoclassical architecture," said the brand.
"Its shape is a dodecagon whose precisely extruded facets can be appreciated from every angle as they catch and reflect the light to an intriguing effect."
The range consists of two sconces of different sizes along with a pendant lamp and a ceiling spot, all available in matt black, matt nickel or matt gold finishes.
The Hashira lights were designed especially to enhance small spaces within the home.
"The sculptural design is imagined as a contemporary feature but the wall lights are particularly suited to smaller spaces where the fine details can be admired up close," added the brand.
"Its slim profile and complex lighting effect also make it useful for adding impact to a hallway or corridor, or for brightening dark corners within a guest bedroom."
