A see-through television features in today's Dezeen Weekly newsletter

Xiaomi launches "world's first" mass-produced transparent TV

The latest edition of our Dezeen Weekly newsletter features Chinese electronics company Xiaomi's see-through television.

Readers are amazed by the Mi TV LUX see-through television, which displays images that appear to be "floating in the air".

Recognised as a world's first, the television features an edge-to-edge transparent display, leaving what looks like a simple glass screen, allowing viewers to see through to the other side.

One reader commented on the story, "we really are in the future aren't we?"
