Dezeen Showroom: Australian brand King and designer Charles Wilson have adapted their Zaza sofa, which can fold down into a bed, for use outdoors.
The Zaza is a modular two- or three-seater sofa with deep seats and ample foam cushioning, creating a relaxed, inviting appearance.
This is enhanced by the flexible arm- and backrests, which can be adjusted to various positions and, in the case of the arms, folded down flat to turn the sofa into a bed.
"I wanted to create an organic design with a more relaxed feel but with similar comfort and versatility, true to the King design ethos," said Wilson of his original design.
"The leaf-like forms on the arms and backrest are accentuated by distinctive double-edge etching which makes the sofa unique."
Like the indoor version before it, the Zaza outdoor sofa has a base made from King's durable, engineered steel.
Its removable cushion covers are available in a range of weather-resistant fabrics and the steel legs come in a light "salt" or dark "rock" finish.
